Crazy Little Thing Called Matchmaking
Maggie Van Well
My Review 4.5 stars!
Kate unexpectedly finds herself beginning to think about moving on after becoming widowed 4 years previous; but only after she meets her new boss, Dr. Jake. From the very start there is a spark between the two, so much so that even her teenage sons see it and are determined to help their mom in the right direction. Both boys feel they are truly missing something since the death of their dad and Dr. Jake seems to fit into their family circle perfectly.
This is a sweet story about moving on after a terrible loss and what possibilities the future holds. This book also has the added bonus of a few steamy scenes well written that they flow with the story and don't overtake it. Overall it's a great love story with some very well developed lovable characters!
Is it possible to find two loves in one lifetime? Dubbed “The Child Whisperer” by his peers, twenty-nine-year-old Jake Harris is a lollipop-sucking, video game-playing pediatrician, who moves to Seashore Cove, Long Island to start a family. What he finds is an immediate attraction to his new nurse, Kate, and a list of reasons why he has to keep his distance. Kate Henderson is a grieving widow with two teenage boys, struggling to keep her head above water. She knows exactly why she must fight her growing desire for the new doctor, and nothing is going to change that. But Kate’s sons think Dr. Jake is the perfect match for their mother. When they put their heads together, the duo comes up with crazy little schemes in the hopes of igniting a spark. The teenagers succeed in throwing them together but is it enough to make their mom and the doctor tear up their lists and take a chance on love? Please visit CLP Blog Tours for all the tour stops!
